Galaxy s21 Ultra
Galaxy s21 Ultra
you probably know by now that the galaxy s21 ultra has been out for a couple of weeks and we have been using it for the past couple of weeks so we can tell you what it is like to use samsung always release these big phones at the start of the year and in today's video our plan is to give you the full review of the galaxy s21 ultra samsung at the start of the year always go big and release these big phones and this year it was the s21 lineup but not just the regular s21 they also gave us the s21 ultra which is now at this point samsung's best phone they have ever made and we've been using it at mobile transfer the past couple of weeks so now we feel like we can give you a good honest review of what this phone is like and if you had any questions left about the s21 ultra then hopefully we will answer them in this video on the full review we'll start where we should always start with the full review and that's having a look at what you get inside the box when you pick up this phone and the galaxy s101 ultra has one of the smallest boxes that samsung have ever shipped with a phone and the reason for that is that there is no power brick in the box anymore so you will already need to have a power brick to be able to access that 25 watt fast charging that the galaxy s21 ultra can do this is also not a cheap phone as well
it is high end and you're looking at spending around about a thousand dollars if you wanted to get your hands on the base level of this galaxy s21 ultra so if you're going to be picking this phone up you expect it to have some of the highest specs around and it does so let's tell you about a couple of them during this video this phone is actually a little bit cheaper than the galaxy s20 ultra from last year so something have already started in the right ballpark even if they did remove that charging brick they're kind of giving you a little bit of something back by dropping that price ever so slightly all the galaxy s21 range this year including the s21 ultra have 5g built in and that is giving you some of the fastest bits of data speeds that you can get but that's only if you have 5g in your area so if you don't have 5g in your area then you won't be able to access this but if you do have some 5g in where you live then you'll notice and you'll get to experience some of the fastest data speeds which means that you can download apps a lot quicker you can load videos you can do things you can upload files a lot quicker than you could while just using 4g so if you've not tried 5g yet then 5g is something that you need to go and experience for yourself the phone is actually quite heavy in your hand it's not one of these light phones it feels premium and that is because it has glass on both the front and the back so on the back it has that frosted glass back which feels really nice and then on the front you have that gorilla glass victus which is the strongest glass that samsung have put onto a phone so if you were to be unlucky and drop this face down then hopefully it wouldn't shatter the entire display the s21 ultra is also ip68 dust and water resistant up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes for the first time a galaxy ultra phone now has stylus support so if you've had a note phone in the past and you wanted to use that s pen then you can actually bring that over to the galaxy s21 ultra but if you don't have that s pen it's something you'd have to buy separately to be able to use on this phone the display on this phone is our favorite thing about it because every time you look at it no matter from what angle it always looks incredible and so bright and it has a 6.8 inch amoled display and it has an 89 screen to body ratio so it is really an incredible phone to use for content and just in general it looks really nice the resolution is 1440x3200 which gives you some really nice hdr content that you are able to view on this display .
i think this is probably the best display on any phone that is out there at the moment especially for wanting to play games view videos photos and just watch content you can also have the full resolution screen at 120 hertz for the first time and that 120 hertz display honestly is very it's just so good it makes using the phone so smooth it feels premium and it's also an adaptive refresh rate which means that it can decide when and when not to use that 120 hertz so make sure that you get the most out of your battery life samsung have one ui built into this as well and we're now on to our third generation of one ui for the os and it's just getting better and better and for the first time using one ui on the galaxy s21 ultra does feel really nice and is up there now almost with how good a stock android feels depending where in the world you pick up this phone you will either get the exynos 2100 or the snapdragon triple a chipset and this year the chip sets between the two the exynos and the snapdragon there is not as much difference as there was on a phone let's say like the note 20 ultra last year because it felt like you were getting two different phones at that point but now these phones are pretty much the same with whatever chipset you get both of these chips though make the phone run incredibly quick and you can do pretty much whatever you need to do or want to do on these phones so it gets given to you with 12 gigabytes of ram as standard and you can actually up that to 16 gigabytes of ram but this means that you can multitask you can do high-end video and picture editing and the phone does not slow down or stutter in any way at all let's move on to that quad camera setup that that s21 ultra has and this is where the ultra really does come into its own so four cameras on the back you get a 108 megapixel main camera you then go and get a 10 megapixel telephoto lens a 12 megapixel ultra wide then you get that periscope lens as well and that is really what makes the difference the phone probably takes some of the best photos that you can actually get on a phone right now and they do look incredible every single time you take them no matter what lens you use as well you can even zoom in to 100 times on this phone with that periscope lens and maybe the 100 times is not the best looking pictures you can ever take but you get the ability to do it and that is something that you don't really get on other phones and that is exciting what you get though because of that periscope lens is that 30 time zoom where everything you take on that 30 time zoom honestly looks like you are right up close to it the detail on the photos are incredible you also get some really good video options on this phone as well so you can film 8k at 24 frames per second or 4k up to 60 frames per second so it pretty much covers you for anything that you might want to do and of course you get all those standard resolutions of 1080p that you can record video with as well you also get a 40 megapixel selfie camera.
if you want those really high-end selfies but on that camera you can actually film 4k at 60 frames per second as well the battery is always a big thing for me in a phone and this phone has one of the best batteries i've probably used in a very long time it has a 5 000 milliamp hour battery and what that 5 000 milliamp hours means is that you can get not just to the end of one day but to the middle of another without having charged it and that is when i've been using it to take photos and videos and gaming and using it and really pushing it to its limits so if you're not a really high-end user then the battery you're gonna get on this phone is gonna be genuinely next level you also have reverse wireless charging on this phone as well which comes in really handy i found so if you have a pair of galaxy buttons pro and they're running out of battery and you're out and about you can just pop them on the back of the phone for a couple of minutes and it gives you a couple of hours of charging and then you also get your unlock options for this phone as well you get quite a few of them you get pin pattern face unlock and you get that under the screen fingerprint reader and that under the screen fingerprint reader at the moment is absolutely fantastic it never really misses your fingerprint and it has a bigger area than ever before so you can place your thumb down and it will unlock the phone i'd say 90 of the time absolutely perfectly the galaxy s21 ultra from samsung is samsung's best ever phone and it shows in the specs and the way that you use it and maybe people will say is it worth a thousand dollars and i think if you're a high-end user then absolutely it is worth a thousand dollars
